As Chief Executive Officer of Virtual Autopsy Global, he has played a pioneering role in redefining modern post-mortem investigation through the establishment of the world’s first dedicated network of PMCT facilities across the United Kingdom.Throughout his career, Ash has led the strategic consulting, commissioning, and international deployment of advanced Virtual Autopsy centres across complex operational environments worldwide. His expertise combines technical governance, innovation, and executive strategy, enabling the successful integration of forensic imaging technologies into established medico-legal and investigative systems. He also maintains significant leadership experience in Mass Fatality Recovery and Disaster Management, supporting critical response initiatives globally.Ash is a Certified Member of the Institute of Consulting (MIC) and a Member of the Chartered Management Institute (MCMI). Professor Peter Vanezis OBE

Professor Peter Vanezis OBE

Ambassador & Forensic Advisor

Professor Vanezis MB, ChB, DMJ(Path), MD, PhD, is a member of the Royal College of Pathologists and a Fellow of the college (FRCPath); and a Founding Fellow of the Faculty of Forensic Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians in (FFFLM), as well as being a member of a number of examining boards in forensic medicine. Peter has been a practising forensic pathologist since 1974, conducting over 2,000 suspicious death autopsies, of which approximately 1,500 were homicides up to the current day. Peter has held many academic and service appointments and has carried out autopsies abroad, and for the Armed Forces at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, United Nations International Criminal Tribunal, and as an Honorary Civilian Consultant. He has also published widely in forensic medicine in peer-reviewed journals and continues to have a professional interest as a forensic medical expert in the investigation of the death of Diana, Princess of Wales.

His work sits at the intersection of forensic pathology, medical imaging, and technological innovation, with a particular focus on improving the accuracy, efficiency, and non-invasive nature of post-mortem examinations.He has over 10 years of dedicated experience in training and education within Post-Mortem Visualisation and Imaging techniques, supporting the development of international capability in this emerging field.Alongside his clinical and academic work, Dr Naik has contributed to the broader medical technology sector through his involvement in healthcare innovation and applied clinical systems. His multidisciplinary background enables him to bridge clinical practice, research, and operational healthcare delivery, supporting the advancement of integrated, technology-driven approaches to modern forensic medicine.
